Dear Dogwood Church Family,

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: This Sunday (3.22.2020) and the following Sunday (3.29.2020) we will continue doing online only worship services!

We want to extend a special thank you to all of you who joined us this past Sunday online to stream our services as we continue to monitor the ongoing health situation with the coronavirus.

We were very encouraged to see so many of you engaging and interacting with one another on Facebook live, and have heard that several of you met with your life groups and had watch parties, as well as the many of you who watched as a family with your students and children at home.

This past Sunday serves a great reminder to all of us that we are the Church, no matter where we are and that we can still gather as a community of believers to study God’s word and worship together.

After prayerful consideration and discussion with our staff and elders and the rest of the Dogwood team, we have decided to continue our online only services for the next two weeks – Sunday, March 22nd and Sunday, March 29th, at 9:00am, 10:45am, or 12:30pm! (This applies to our student and children's ministry programming as well - children's sermons will be available online and students are encouraged to tune in for the main service with their families.)

We encourage you to gather with your family and engage in worshipping God through song, prayer, and the study of God’s word. You may even want to consider gathering with your Lifegroup. Simply, use your computer or smart phone to watch via our Facebook page or directly on our website at If you miss the online gathering times, we’ll have the services posted on our website and app as soon as possible. We encourage you to interact on Facebook through the messaging opportunities as well!

We will monitor the current health situation and prioritize the physical well-being of all of you who are part of the Dogwood family, as well as those within our community. We also prioritize the clients that we serve through our Real Life Center and have developed a comprehensive plan to distribute food to the marginalized within our reach. We are confident that we will be able to assist those in need while equally taking the precautions necessary for the protection of both our clients and our staff.

Some people have asked me if moving our worship services online has been hard. That's a great question. The short answer is no. While I and our team is concerned and praying for the physical health of our community, we are so very glad that God led us a number of years ago to begin streaming our worship services online. That simple fact helped make the transition to online only very easy. We're also asking God to show us how to make our online worship services an opportunity to reach new individuals and families. We don't believe that God caused this virus, but we do believe what Romans 8 says about how God works. Romans 8:28 says "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." We're trusting God to lead us and show us how we can continue to accomplish the mission that He has given our church "To make more and better Christ followers who love God and love people."

Our team looks forward to worshipping with you online this Sunday! If you are unable to connect online you can request a DVD of the service by emailing Nancy Eden at

In Christ,

Pastor Keith Moore
